At NVIDIA, the only gripe is the excessive hours you need to work to advance within the company. Competition is high, and advancements are given to only a small group of employees.

DocuSign

DocuSign made big waves as it entered the market for being a trusted platform where you could electronically sign documents. There are many competitors at this point, but DocuSign still manages to beat them all in terms of employee benefits.

Many employees enjoy the work/life balance and positive morale built into the corporate culture of DocuSign. With a Glassdoor rating of 4.6, DocuSign has invested in its employees to be successful in the long term.

A company is expected to experience growing pains once it reaches a certain size over a short period of time. Employees have said that the onboarding process can be disorganized, and new changes are implemented rather quickly.

Google

Despite recent negative PR focused on the treatment of its employees, Google still holds a 4.5-star rating on Glassdoor. The search giant continues to provide better benefits than most competitors.

Working for a major company like Google allows you to be surrounded by the brightest minds in the world. In order to attract employees, Google offers an impressive amount of benefits that most other companies can’t match due to budget restrictions.

The problem with Google, which is probably well known, is that it has extremely high standards for performance and loyalty. Other problems include the competitive hierarchy, which limits earning potential, and the amount of red tape you have to overcome to get noticed.

Salesforce

Salesforce, like Hubspot, is a SaaS company that helps businesses with customer relationship management and other marketing tools. The 4.5 rating on Glassdoor shows that it cares about its employees but has some areas it could improve on.

Employees appreciate how Salesforce developed a culture of great benefits, events, and programs that make them feel taken care of.

The only problem is that events and programs do not help employees feel considered in their everyday work. Some of the complaints include the long work hours and hardly feeling like a difference is made in the position.

Adobe

Adobe, known for its innovative design tools that have enabled the creation of the best graphics in the world, also treats its employees so well that it received a 4.4 rating on Glassdoor.

The company offers a competitive amount of benefits and cultivates a strong work culture, but some employees complain about the bureaucracy they have to cut through to accomplish anything constructive.

Growth potential seems limited, and employees feel trapped in the daily grind, and their contributions make no difference.

Facebook

Having enjoyed its heyday as the biggest social media company worldwide, Facebook now seems to be focused more on its employees as their assets for the company. Despite its attention-getting facility designs and employee perks, the company’s 4.3 Glassdoor rating is showing some cracks.

A huge perk of working for Facebook is the wide variety of benefits that come with the job. From free pizza parties to 401k contributions, you will be fully taken care of when choosing to work for Facebook.

There is only one downside; you might have to give up a lot more than you want to get the benefits. Former employees have claimed that finding a work/life balance is difficult with the high demands of the job, and many have had problems with the fast-paced atmosphere.

Shopify

Shopify, a company dedicated to helping businesses sell their products online, has a decent Glassdoor rating but still has a lot to achieve. Its 4.3 rating is the lowest among these companies, but it remains a better employer than most.

Overall, Shopify’s employee culture is great, and they have at least tried to promote employee events and provide decent benefits. However, they still need to make sure their employees feel part of the process and not just pawns.
