I’ve been using the Google Chrome browser for a few years now. My experience with other browsers hasn’t been as great as it has been with Google Chrome. So, when I was approached about reviewing the ubersuggest chrome extension I jumped at the opportunity. The ubersuggest chrome extension is one of those little gems that you search for and find after doing a bit of research, and your type at least three times to remember after installation 🙂
Here are a couple of extensions that should be in your bag pack.
SalesHandy
You can review how well your site is staying active with SalesHandy. The extension figures out the general tracking process based on whether people sending emails have been to your site, the histories of those who send messages, and how often people are linking up to you.
These are all useful for when you’re aiming to find content in various forms.
- You can track attachments in moments
- Team templates are available
- You can mute different notifications among other things
Ninja Outreach
No matter how much on-page SEO you do, you won’t rank well if you don’t build any links.
I know you hate this part of SEO, but manual outreach is one of the best ways to build links even though it is tedious.
One way to make it easier is through Ninja Outreach. This extension shows you all of the email addresses associated with a given domain.
Once you find a relevant site that you want to approach for a backlink opportunity, you can get their contact information through a click of a button and start crafting your custom email.
Keywords Everywhere
This is probably the most popular extension out there for SEOs.
Keywords Everywhere is great for anyone who is doing keyword research.
Just go to Google and type in any keyword that you are interested in going after. Keywords Everywhere will show you a laundry list of other related terms that you can go after as well.
You can quickly export the list and then compile a master list of keywords that are worth targeting.
What’s convenient about Keywords Everywhere is the data is provided right within Google versus having to go to a specific tool.
Fatrank
Although it is a bad habit, as SEOs, we all obsess about rankings.
If you want an easy and free way to track your rankings, just set up a project on Ubersuggest.
Another easy solution to see how you are ranking is by using Fatrank.
All you have to do is head to your site, click on the Fatrank extension, and type in a keyword to see if you rank for it.
If you rank in the top 100, it will tell you the exact position.
If you don’t, it will let you know that you don’t rank in the top 100.
I use this as a spot check to make sure I am doing decently well after a major Google algorithm update.
SEOInfo
This extension looks for SEO issues on the page, tells you how many there are, and lets you investigate further. The check covers meta tags, canonicals, indexability, Open Graph tags, structured data, hreflangs, page speed, and more.
It also has a built-in Audit module that uses Google’s Pagespeed Insights API.

Free Backlink Checker by LRT
Despite its name, this tool has nothing to do with incoming links. It analyzes the outgoing links on a page. Like many other link checkers, it highlights all broken links red and live links green. It can also export all links on a page to a CSV or XLSX file along with their anchor text, HTTP status, and “rel” attribute for further analysis.
Unlike many other broken link checkers, this one allows you to increase the time delay between link requests for slower page analysis. This prevents many false positives caused by server protection.
Hreflang Tag Checker
Although lots of extensions show hreflang data, this one is more advanced. It crawls the URL’s hreflang tags to check if they have return links.
Keyword research
Use these extensions to find and research keywords.
SEOStack Keyword Tool
Generates thousands of keyword ideas from a seed keyword by scraping autocomplete suggestions from Google, Youtube, Bing, Yahoo, Amazon, and eBay. If you’ve ever used Keyword Sheeter, you’ll already be familiar with the concept. All data can be exported to CSV.
TextOptimizer
TextOptimizer describes itself as a writing assistant tool. It analyzes search results for relevant terms and extracts “intent tables” to suggest other words that you can use in your copy “to better match search engines’ expectations.”
Keyword Surfer
It doesn’t matter if you use Ubersuggest, Ahrefs, or SEMrush… there is one thing that all of those tools have in common.
You as a user have to keep going back to them to get the keyword data you need.
Wouldn’t it be easier if you can get keyword insights and some backlink insights right in your Google browser?
With Keyword Surfer, you can get insights through Google’s interface. So, when you do a search for anything, you see the global search volume as well as the volume within your region.
On top of that, you’ll see a list of suggestions and search volume in the sidebar.
And if you scroll down a bit more you’ll see how many backlinks each result has, which gives you a rough idea of how many links you need to rank in the top 10.
OpenLink Structured Data Sniffer
Unveils the structured metadata present on any web page. It currently supports Microdata, RDF/XML, RDFa, JSON-LD, Turtle, and POSH.
Other similar extensions: Structured Data Testing Tool
User-Agent Switcher for Chrome
Mimics user-agents to check that your website displays correctly in different browsers and OS’.
The Tech SEO — Quick Click Website Audit
Provides pre-formatted links (for the current URL) to a bunch of popular SEO tools. A very underrated tool that reduces the need for mundane copy/pasting.
View Rendered Source
A must-have tool for those who work with JavaScript-powered websites. It compares the raw page code and its rendered version. As an SEO, you can check, for example, if JavaScript overwrites meta tags.
Conclusion
UberSuggest is a keyword research tool for Google. It’s an algorithm that provides keyword suggestions based on other keyword suggestions. So, just enter one or more seed keywords and let the algorithm provide hundreds of related suggestions to help you discover new, related keywords for your next SEO project.
