Top Ten Apps for Entrepreneurs

Today’s entrepreneur needs to be able to do many things across many devices at the same time. Just ask Marc Van Vesch, CEO of Big Spaceship, who needed to access CRM data on his Apple I-pad while working on his Apple iPhone. Here are our top ten apps for entrepreneurs who need to check off everything on their to-do list at once.

This app is a list of the top ten business apps that can help you start and run your own business. While the title focuses on the apps and their use with entrepreneurs, this app also has a value proposition that is focused on the user with a benefit that is directed toward the user’s needs and unmet desires.

Udemy

Udemy is an app loved by all budding students. In today’s fast changing world, learning a new skill becomes pertinent. Udemy lets you acquire skills with its 1 lakh plus video courses. Udemy’s expert instructors deliver these courses in over 65 languages. And mind you, these courses aren’t limited to academics. You can learn photography, coding, game development and so much more with the Udemy app. Courses come in multiple length and depth yet they are competitively priced. There are also various free courses that can be learnt by every user. Courses include assignments, articles and various supplementary materials to help you have a richer experience. Eren Bali, an accomplished entrepreneur, emphasises how much impact a learning app like Udemy can have on budding startup owners.

Apps like these not only boost your prospect of becoming successful but also motivate you to have a professional solid base as well. Changing times can leave you behind and thus being steady with the ship of technology is highly important. Have the best experience with these apps and make your life better.

Streak

Want an affordable CRM tool to manage your contacts, deals, projects, and messages? Streak does it all from within your inbox so that you can forget having to log into a separate app to do it. I’ve only been using this tool for a short time but it has great potential to help me organize my messages based on the projects I’m working on.

This tool will suit a wide variety of businesses. Use it to manage the hiring process, to keep track of investment and fundraising projects, to manage deals, and much more. It will even let you schedule emails to be sent later and tell you when someone has read your email.

Trello

Easily my favorite project management tool, this is also one that I know a number of larger businesses use. It’s my preferred alternative to Basecamp, which for for me is really only good at allowing you to converse with others related to a specific project. Trello also maintains a super creative blog that will show you how you might use their product: to stay organized, to take the stress out of the holiday season, to plan an office party, to search for a job, and to plan a meal.

At Palo Alto Software, we use it to manage our editorial calendar and the web development queue. I think it’s a great tool for listing out stock you need to buy, for prioritizing tasks with your team, and for playing around with ideas, thanks to the super easy drag-and-drop functionality built into the app. I don’t know how people function without this tool.

Asana

This is essentially the free alternative to Basecamp. I’ve used it on and off for the past couple of years and although I’ve never raved about it as I have Trello, it’s still a useful tool that is taking strides to become ever more elegant and relevant! The interface is also a lot more in line with how my brain works which is something Basecamp has never been. If you’re looking for software that will allow you to work with your team, without needing to do it all from within your inbox, this is a good option.

 Evernote

Designed to make sure you can accomplish multiple tasks in a single app. Evernote can act as a digital notebook for anything and everything. From keeping track of your expenses, managing your calendar, to creating slideshow presentations, to planning your next trip, and to create, share and discuss with the people who help get your work done. Moreover, you can even develop your projects faster and let multiple participants work on different aspects. Evernote is a must have app for any founder or entrepreneur.

 Product Hunt

When you are a startup business validation of your ideas is very important. Product Hunt is the app for it. You can submit your products/ideas which are listed in a linear format by day. The site includes a comments system and a voting system similar. The products with the most votes rise to the top of each day’s list. If your products/ideas have an extensive number of votes and positive comments you will know that you can go ahead and develop your products/ideas.

 Pocket

When you are a startup founder or an entrepreneur, time becomes a luxury that you can’t afford at times. You know every second you spend counts for something valuable. Let’s say you saw an interesting article, video any other web content and you are super busy at the moment and you wanna save it for later viewing, Pocket, is the app for you. You can directly save the content you want to watch or read later on to Pocket. And you don’t even need an Internet connection to view them later because they are directly saved onto the Pocket app. If you are quite busy to read this very article due to an unexpected meeting, you better pocket it for a later time!

Conclusion

There is a wide range of reasons why people choose to become entrepreneurs. For some, it’s because they enjoy solving challenging problems; for others, it’s the prospect of setting their own work schedule; and still others are looking to get rich quick. But whatever the reason for becoming an entrepreneur, the path one takes to get there is not always clear. It can be tough to identify which apps are most helpful for new entrepreneurs.
