There are two main parts of a lead ad: the form that contains the questions you want your customers to answer and the ad.

Select the Customize Form Text option to give your form a Headline and Description.

In the Customer Info section, choose the form options you’d like to include. Click to check the box next to the info you’d like people to provide. Select Show more options to see additional choices.

(Optional) In the Custom Questions section, you can include specific questions.

Choose the Form Language.

Select the Add a Privacy Policy option if you want to include a link to your policy.

Create your ad

After you build your form, you’ll create the ad that will call attention to it.1. Choose your ad creative.

We’ll suggest an image and text to get you started, but you can also choose your own.

  • Choose your Ad Creative format: single image, video or slideshow.
  • Select Browse Library or Free Stock Images, and choose or upload your file(s).
  • Enter your Headline and Text. Tell your customers what benefits they’ll receive if they fill out the form.

2. Select your Call to Action.

3. Choose your audience.

Choose an existing Audience, select Edit to update your audience or select People you choose through targeting if you’d like to start from scratch.

4. Choose your budget and duration.

Choose your Budget, which is the maximum, total amount you want to spend on this ad. Based on your budget, you’ll see how many people you’re likely to reach. You won’t be charged more than the budget you set for each ad.

5. Submit your ad.

When you’ve finished building your Get More Leads ad, select Promote. The ad will be reviewed and you’ll be notified when it goes live.

View results and download leads

Metrics to watch

When you run a Get More Leads ad to acquire customer contacts, your primary goal should be the number of Leads, rather than People Reached.

After your ad has run for a while or after it’s complete, you can view insights on how it performed and see the total number of leads you received.

  1. Go to your Page.
  2. Select Manage Promotions below the blue Promote button.
  3. Find the post and select View Results.
  4. In the Overview section, you’ll be able to see the number of people you’ve reached and the total number of leads your ad has received.

Download your leads

Downloading your leads will allow you to see all of your leads in one place and save them for future use. If you don’t want to download your leads regularly, consider using a CRM.

  1. Go to Publishing Tools.
  2. In the navigation on the left, select Forms Library.
  3. Find the lead form you’d like to download leads for and select Download.
  4. A menu will appear, and you’ll see several options, including:
    • Download New Leads: This option will allow you to download any new leads you’ve received since your last download. Leads will be available via a CSV file.
    • Download by Date Range: This option will allow you to download leads you received over a specific date range. Leads will be available via a CSV file.

After you download your leads, we recommended you save them. Leads will be available for download up to 90 days from the time they are submitted. We don’t make them available for download after this period due to both security and storage considerations.
