  1. Navigate to header area by double clicking the header area. Alternatively, you can also go to Insert Tab > Header and click on “Edit header“.
  2. Once you in the header, you can select watermark by clicking over it. In some case, you need to double click watermark to select it.
  3. Using a pointer, select the entire watermark text by clicking on its bounding text box or in case of image click on the image to select it.
  4. Press Delete key to remove watermark.

Method 1: Remove the watermark using the Watermark feature

  1. Open the document you want to remove the watermark from in Word.
  2. If you’re using Word 2007 or Word 2010, navigate to the Page Layout tab in Word’s toolbar. If you’re using Word 2013 or Word 2016, on the other hand, navigate to the Design tab in Word’s toolbar.

Method 2: Remove the watermark from the document’s header

Note: Deleting a watermark or removing it will remove it from every page in that specific section of the respective Word document. If the Word document contains multiple sections, however, you are going to have to remove the watermark from each section by repeating the steps for every single section.
