Peachtree Small Business Accounting Software

Peachtree Small Business Accounting Software is designed to streamline small business accounting processes and convert them into a state of the art online system.

Peachtree Small Business is the only Microsoft-licensed accounting software that offers affordable, easy-to-use, full Microsoft Financials for small businesses. And with Peachtree Small Business accounting software you get all the bells and whistles of Peachtree Pro like free payroll services, free tax preparation, free tax estimates and free federal forms.

Sage Peachtree accounting software is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs).

Sage 50 Accounting, previously Peachtree, is user-friendly accounting software that streamlines your daily operations.

It is an easy-to-use desktop accounting software for growing small businesses. However, it is scalable to perform big business accounting and includes standard accounting such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bill payments, cash flow management, and inventory management, as well as options for payroll services and credit card processing.

Sage Business Cloud Accounting’s cheapest plan lets you create invoices, track amounts owed, and automatically reconcile your bank accounts. If you’re willing to pay a bit more ($25 a month), Sage adds unlimited users, quotes, estimates, cash flow forecasting, and purchase invoice management. Unfortunately, Sage charges extra for receipt scanning, a feature competitors like Wave, FreshBooks, Xero, and QuickBooks include for free. And Sage’s pricier plan has fewer features than, say, Xero’s cheapest plan (though Sage doesn’t limit your monthly invoice amount).

If you like Sage’s platform but are looking for more fully featured plans with intense support and automation, Sage Intacct could be a good pick. It’s also our top accounting software recommendation for nonprofits. We also like other versions of Sage for construction company accounting (as do many construction professionals themselves).

Got a minute to spare? You can set up Kashoo in 60 or so seconds, and the app immediately starts to categorize your expenses and learn your business spending habits. Like Zoho Books, Kashoo’s automation is its selling point—and unlike Zoho Books, it syncs with SurePayroll, one of our top payroll providers. However, Kashoo’s simplicity makes it ill-suited to larger businesses that need more features and functions than Kashoo’s straightforward software can provide.

If you’re looking for a cheaper solution, Kashoo offers an invoice-only plan for $0.00. It’s also in the process of developing payment-only and expense-only plans for the smallest of small businesses.

If you don’t need quite as many features as Wave offers, ZipBooks is a solid free accounting software alternative. Even though it’s free, it doesn’t limit the number of invoices you can send (like Xero) or clients you can bill (like FreshBooks) per month—you can access unlimited customizable invoices and accept payments too. ZipBooks’ paid plan starts at $15 a month and offers better bookkeeping and automation features than its free accounting plan. But if you prefer your accounting tools on the go, look elsewhere. ZipBooks has a solid billing-only app for Apple users, but its Android accounting app is near-uniformly panned on Google Play.1

 Intuit QuickBooks Online

Small Business Accounting Software Intuit Quickbooks onlinePricing: Starts at $12.50/month

Intuit Quickbooks might be the first resource that comes to mind when you hear the term, “small business accounting software” — and for good reason. Beyond its first-rate suite of capabilities, the program sets itself apart with elements like receipt capture and 24/7 chat support.

It also features integrations with PayPal, Shopify, and Square. Taken together, those components — among several others — make Quickbooks a crowd-pleasing small business accounting software.

All plans allow you to track income and expenses, send invoices and receive payments, run reports, send estimates, track sales and taxes, and capture and organize receipts. More advanced plans allow you to track inventory, track time, and even run full-service payroll.

Best for Businesses Looking for a Tried-and-True Option

Intuit Quickbooks is one of the most (if not the most) prominent accounting software for small businesses. It’s been around long enough for you to have a solid idea of what you’re getting when you invest in it — an accessible, affordable, time-tested solution that can suit a company of virtually any size. If you’re looking for a safe choice that reconciles reliability with exceptional functionality, consider looking into Intuit Quickbooks.

 Pabbly

Small Business Accounting Software PabblyPricing: Starts at $9/month

Pabbly Subscription Billing is a recurring and subscription management software for small to medium-sized businesses. This software provides real-time actionable metrics on your monthly payments, revenue, net revenue, active customers, and new subscriptions. It also automates all your business workflows, customer communication, and invoice creation so you can focus on your business growth.

Best for Businesses Looking for a Reliably Fixed Pricing Model

One of Pabbly’s key selling points is its subscription billing model. It’s one of the only software on this list that doesn’t charge any extra fees on the basis of per-transaction and monthly revenue generation. That kind of consistency — paired with it’s first-rate functionality — make Pabbly a solid option.

Best Free Accounting Software: Wave

Wave

Visit SiteRead our Review

Wave is an eminently easy-to-use accounting software — and with a price of $0, it’s easy on the budget as well. Excellent customer support, competitive pricing, and great features have earned this software a great score on our site.

Wave is best for small businesses on a tight budget that still want strong accounting capabilities. This software is ideal for Etsy sellers and micro businesses.

Pros

  • Free
  • Easy to use
  • Numerous features
  • Expert help from accountants is available

Cons

  • Limited mobile apps
  • Poor customer support
  • Not scalable

Wave Pricing

As we mentioned earlier, Wave accounting is free, with no gimmicks or strings attached. With a Wave account, you get access to all Wave features and unlimited users. The only extra costs to be aware of are payroll, payment processing, and professional bookkeeping services.

Wave Features

Wave is well-developed software that rivals even some paid programs in terms of features. This app is incredibly easy to navigate, and the learning curve is minimal, making it a great choice for business owners with little previous accounting experience. The software covers all of the accounting basics, including invoicing, expense tracking, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and more.

Wave Dashboard

Wave also has several unique features. In Wave, users can separate personal and business expenses, which is ideal for freelancers or side hustlers who don’t have a separate business bank account. Wave also offers Lending by Wave, which helps business owners gain access to capital through a partnership with OnDeck. Learn more about this financing option in our post, Lending By Wave: Everything Small Businesses Need to Know.

Other features include:

  • Item management
  • Reports
  • Receipts
  • Contact management

Wave doesn’t offer as many integrations as its competitors; however, it does have a Zapier integration, which connects Wave with over 1,000 third-party apps. Besides Zapier, there are only three other integrations. (The Etsy integration makes Wave a great choice for Etsy sellers that need simple accounting.) Wave also has several mobile apps.

The only downsides to the software are slow customer support, the lack of a project management feature, and limited time-tracking abilities. There also isn’t a true inventory feature. If these features are integral to your business, you’ll have to use an integration. Or you can take a look at one of the other options on this list instead.

When To Use Wave

If you’re looking for an affordable accounting option, it doesn’t get better than Wave. With positive customer reviews and a well-organized UI, it’s no wonder this free accounting software is popular. It’s easy to jump straight in and start using Wave, even with little previous accounting experience.

Conclusion

Get precise bookkeeping for Peachtree! Peachtree is an accounting software used by companies large and small. The default settings are simply amazing, but sometimes you need advanced features. I myself enjoy Peachtree’s advanced features, like the QuickBooks like reports to be able to see all of my bank account transactions in one place. With Peachtree, you can share your books with QuickBooks, too! With its beautiful, web-based interface, Peachtree also lets you export your financial data to other tools like QuickBooks and Microsoft Money.
